What's On Sterling McDavid's Holiday Wish List?

Imagine your home is just so beautifully designed it goes viral? 

Such is the case with Sterling McDavid's gorgeous Aspen escape. - a house so chic the internet basically begged her to start an interior design firm. Which, thankfully, she did. 

When not on Mountain time, the Upper West Side tastemaker is busy tending to her clients around the country and sitting on the New York Board of Directors for UNICEF.

Curious what's on the aesthete's holiday wish list?

How do you celebrate the holidays?
We, and by "we" I mean "I", love going all out on celebrating and decorating so that includes a night with the family decorating the tree and, of course, our intimate Christmas Shabbat (yes you read that correctly!) party with holiday inspired cocktails and games by the fire. 

Where will you be this season?
We spend Hanukkah in NYC, Christmas in Fort Worth and New Years in Aspen. 

Are you a last-minute or way-in-advance shopper?
Typically a bit of both, but I do love keeping my eye out for unique, personal gifts throughout the year. 

What's the best gift you've ever received?
It's hard to say the best, but my custom cowboy boots are definitely up there! I'm originally Texan so there was just nothing better than the excitement of designing my own boots. Mine have my initials, architectural structures and other personal memorabilia. 

Who's the toughest to shop for on your list?
My mom! The woman has everything and certainly doesn't need anything, but if I can get an excited response from her from my gift then I have succeeded. 

What's your go-to hostess gift?
A nice bottle of wine in a festive wine bag. You can't go wrong with the Santa's Pant wine bag. 

Favorite spots around town to pick up something in person?
Saks is always a go-to for me, but now that I have children I must admit that FAO Schwarz really is the most joyous spot on earth to get in the holiday spirit. If you have any children you need to purchase gifts for, it is a must! My personal favorite: the plush pizza slice, located at the "pizza stand" inside. 

Any particularly festive plans or traditions you're most looking forward to this year?
My family is back to hosting Christmas Eve dinner, so naturally I am looking forward to styling the over-the-top table!

Yoga private sessions.

Vintage cocktail glasses paired with SAYSO cocktail sets.
